The stand-alone electric driven version is designed to work with the new CL5, CP6 and older
CL5’s where the cans need to be driven through the twist and over a date coder. This unit comes
with a PLC controller and sensors to fix to the inlet of the canning line. It has a star wheel that
drives at a fixed speed rated at 2000 cans per hour. When the machine needs cans the sensor at
the start of the canning line will go off and trigger the star wheel to drive. Another sensor fitted to
the machine will tell it to stop. The star wheel has it’s own sensor built in so that when the
canning line says stop driving the star wheel will finish off on a full can to ensure the date is
completed on the base of the can.
Can size cassette:
All versions have interchangeable cassettes for different can sizes, this is a simple change with
no tools required. The cassettes available are
150ml, 200ml, 250ml, 330ml sleek, 330ml standard, 440ml, 500ml and 568ml.
Rinser:
The standard rinser that’s fitted is a clean air filter set. This is connected to the compressed air
system from the building and has a series of filters. The filters ensure the air is sterile and are changeable.
The air is triggered to flush the cans in the upside down position when the wheel is
driving the cans through the twist.
A water option is available as the standard unit comes fitted with a drip tray. The customer is
responsible for the quality of the water that’s connected to the rinser. The connection is via a
10mm push fit fitting to a stainless steel solenoid valve.
